Derek Mulcahy qualified in 1986 from University College Cork with honours. Like many at the time he moved to London after qualification. He worked in a very mixed area for a year where he achieved great experience and practical expertise. He then moved to a private practice in Kent where he was able to fine tune his skills in general and cosmetic dentistry.

After travelling around the world for a year he returned to York where he worked in a family practice.

In 1994, Derek returned to Cork where he raised his family and developed the practice. The practice is a primary, family based clinic and our motto is "Patient comfort is paramount". Delivering high quality dentistry in a comfortable atmosphere is what Derek strives to deliver. We pride ourselves in keeping our staff and patients happy with healthy mouths.

Derek has taught dental students for over 20 years in U.C.C where he enjoys both his teaching and the environment. He is giving back to the school where he learned as a student . He has achieved a Diploma in teaching and learning to help him maintain his high standards.

Derek loves all aspects of restorative dentistry but is especially interested in cosmetic dentistry. To this end he has introduced orthodontics to his skill set and has had great success over the last 26 years.

Derek continues to upgrade his knowledge and is now introducing implant surgery to the practice. He lives locally and therefore maintains high standards, which is vital for a good community relationship.

He has a keen interest in sport, keeping fit, good food and travel.

Aisling qualified as a dentist from University College Cork in 2004. She subsequently completed a 3 year diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies with the University of Bristol.

 She has worked as a general dentist in the U.K and Australia before returning home to Cork where she has been working in general dental practice since.

In addition, Aisling has completed further training in anti-wrinkle injections and dental fillers , including lip enhancements and botox. She attends many training days abd courses in this rapidly growing area. She believes in bespoke treatment plans to achieve subtle enhancements.

Marina graduated from UCC in 2001 and moved to work in a busy general practice in the UK for the next 11 years, where she gained a vast amount of experience. While in London, she has taken further courses in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

Returning to Cork with her family in 2012, she has worked in a busy Cork City practice.

Marina is a gentle and caring dentist who aims to provide excellent dental care to all the family. She enjoys all aspects of her work and has a special interest in prevention, and in treating nervous patients. As a mother of three she is passionate about helping children feel comfortable in the dental environment and educating them about their oral health.

Marina is committed to continued professional development and keeps up to date with dental literature.
